Within Santa Monica Proper, Palma brings together seating spanning the 1950s to the present, arranged to create intimate spaces for gathering. Grid-like wool rugs define each area, while artwork by Len Klikunas hangs above a Colina Credenza by Kelly Wearstler. In one alcove, a custom clay work by Taylor Kibby takes on the unexpected appearance of chainmail.
Along Palma’s expansive wall, sheer window treatments turn the focus inward, creating a sense of separation from the city beyond. A 1985 Engmose chaise and volcanic stone cocktail table by L.A.–based Lland Studio continue the interplay of vintage and contemporary design.
