For Ulla Johnson’s Los Angeles boutique, the interiors draw from the natural landscape and material culture of California. Warm woods, richly veined stone, and handcrafted elements establish an organic palette, while bespoke works by artists and makers bring a distinctly local perspective to the space. A marbleized resin entry table by Ross Hansen introduces earthy color and fluid form, while Mike Anderson’s custom wavy cabinet nods to 1970s California design. A mature tree rises within the interior, reinforcing the connection to the landscape.

Connecting the boutique’s two levels, the staircase continues the material language found throughout the interiors, with natural textures and handcrafted details carrying the experience upward. The second floor introduces another layer of locally made work, including a ceramic piece by Los Angeles artist Brittany Mojo, reinforcing the emphasis on California craft throughout the space.

The changing rooms are conceived as an extension of the boutique rather than separate functional spaces, maintaining the same tonal palette, tactile materials, and attention to craft found throughout. In the VIP fitting room, a custom ceramic light fixture by French artist Olivia Cognet introduces a singular handcrafted element, continuing the dialogue between fashion, art, and design at a more intimate scale.
