Created in collaboration with Æquo Gallery, the Lahar collection marks Kelly Wearstler’s first exploration of Indian craftsmanship. Developed with master artisans in India, each piece is built around a monumental cast bronze grid, meticulously inlaid with hundreds of hand-shaped enamel elements. Subtle variations in color, texture, and finish ensure every work is singular. Lahar reflects a dialogue between Los Angeles and Mumbai, where structure, material intensity, and artisanal mastery converge in a bold expression of contemporary design rooted in tradition.
The Lahar Vase (Tall) rises with quiet authority, its vertical form drawing the eye upward through a lattice of cast bronze and hand-shaped enamel. Each inlaid piece carries subtle variations in color and surface, lending the vase a character that shifts with light and angle. A sculptural presence whether displayed alone or arranged with botanicals.
